DESCRIPTION:
Collage using Photoshop – showing how the grim reaper has job security in that he will never have nothing to do as long as people stay addicted.
ARTIST’S STATEMENT:
I think that my generation in particular has done a great job in stopping smoking but e-cigarettes and vaping really took over as a replacement; in the spray painted background I added a Juul to the stick figure with the heart balloon. A bit ironic in that the grim reaper is also smoking but he’s meant to come out the picture. Same with the digital broken heart balloon – it’s supposed to mimic the spray painted one the child is holding.
