DESCRIPTION:
Effected Decay is an ongoing digital image manipulation project enacted by Nolan Sheehan Jankowski. Effected Decay explores the manipulation of digital image code with the goal of image reassignment and redefinition. Created images demonstrate the (in)ability of rendered file code in producing a digital image. Effected Decay explores the dual notions of indeterminacy and randomization. Through differing levels of control or lack of, the piece can develop on its own, with or without input from the artist.
