ARTIST’S STATEMENT:
When I created this piece, it originally started as just a test print of a duck. After multiple of my peers looked at it, they kept asking me where the duck was in the photo. Once I pointed it out, they were stunned because they all thought it was something different. One said it looked like an astral photograph of a galaxy, another said it looked like a uterus. This gave me the idea to multiply the prints and abstract the piece even more. Recently, I have been inspired by early 1960’s pop art, and in some ways this piece mimics characteristics of that. All in all, it’s one of my favorite visual studies I’ve done, and I’m glad it exists.
