The historic White School House in Spring Green, Wisconsin is vacant and in need of a change. In an effort to infuse a new life into this once vibrant structure, the new owners have chosen to convert the 3500 square foot building into two apartments and an art studio.

To highlight the existing architecture while still maintaining a highly functional space, the design for the large second floor apartment focuses on a modern design infused with the traditional Chinese Feng Shui concepts of metal, wood, fire, water, and earth. The result is a modern apartment with many natural and simplistic elements that reflect the owners’ taste.
