DESCRIPTION:
Filmed with an underwater GoPro and liquid food coloring, “Water Color” was created to be beautiful and colorful during 2020.
ARTIST’S STATEMENT:
In my narrative work, I invite viewers to interpret open-ended narratives in their own way. I am particularly drawn to the more abstract and the ambiguous, as I believe the freedom to interpret such stories can be a powerful driver for inspiration. I enjoy breaking conventions visually and conceptually. Specifically, I experiment with breaking language, re-imagining typical storytelling techniques, as well as editing and filming against the grain of standard cinematic logic. How can intentionally broken conventions speak to us more deeply?
