This project tells the story of Lake Mendota, looking at why lake quality and the future of the lake is important. We are looking at how we affect the lake’s quality, and how current efforts to maintain and improve it are happening by everyone from farmers to businesses. We’re also exploring how the efforts to maintain the lake’s quality can help preserve its place as an environmental and cultural resource to everyone in the Yahara watershed area. The lessons of Lake Mendota apply to all the water in Wisconsin.
