Mandy Morrow

Biography

Mandy Morrow is Associate Director of the DesignLab at UW-Madison Libraries, where she oversees program operations, the DesignLab website, and initiatives related to digital communication, accessibility, and user experience. Mandy has been part of the UW-Madison community for more than a decade, first as a graduate student and instructor, and later through her work supporting students, faculty, researchers, and campus partners through DesignLab.

Her work focuses on helping people communicate ideas effectively through visual communication and digital media. She regularly develops workshops and consultations on design, accessibility, user experience, and digital communication strategies, and enjoys helping others find practical solutions to complex communication challenges.

Mandy is actively involved in campus leadership and service through the UW-Madison IT Professionals Conference Steering Committee, the Undergraduate Symposium Advisory Board, the Digital Accessibility Community of Practice, the Design Community of Practice, and curating the Digital Salon, an annual showcase of student-made digital media projects. Her professional interests include digital accessibility, information architecture, user experience, digital literacy, and the creation of welcoming learning experiences that build confidence in technology and design.
