Reforestation: The Miyawaki Method by Nikki Blunier

COURSE: Environmental Studies 978: Legislative Procedures & Agency Based Conservation

MEDIUM: Infographic

DESCRIPTION:
The Miyawaki method can restore forests to their original state with visible results in only 6 years. The motivation is purely ecological, and the area is left to regulate itself after a couple of years. This visual tool explains how it works.

ARTIST’S STATEMENT:
I enjoy sharing scientific information in a way that is easier for many people to understand, and this will be a large part of my capstone project this summer. As a visual learner, I believe infographics and visual tools are a great way to do this. This particular visual tool was created for a class.
