DESCRIPTION:
The North American honey bee is being largely affected by a combination of industrial agriculture, exposure to pesticides, invasive mites, and disease. These influential pollinators make a large impact on our economy, and there will be definite negative short and long-term effects. We propose a decrease in the use of pesticides, more research on the causes and on sustainable agriculture, more policies to protect bees, and an adjustment of farming practices.
