COURSE: English 201
MEDIUM: Video; PechaKucha
In an effort to embody the message of “strength, cure, hope”, I created a PechaKucha (20 images each 20 seconds) that emphasizes the impact of cancer, and that displays a design for a possible cancer memorial that’s able to be recreated in locations around the world. This video uses my personal story to launch awareness of cancer victims and survivors everywhere. The cancer memorial described in this video is comprised of three main elements- a statue of a tree void of leaves, a black wooden fence, and ribbons tied onto the tree as well as the fence. These three components combine to symbolize the strength, cure, and hope needed for anyone affected by cancer.
