MEDIUM: Video
In my archives courses at the School of Library and Information Studies, accessibility to archives has always been a topic of discussion. The users statistics in most archives have decreased in recent years, and the struggle to attract more patrons was an issue that spurred this creative project. It was my intention with this video tutorial to introduce the public to the ins and outs of general archival use in a fun way. I was able to demonstrate how to register as a patron, what a reference interview is and covers, how to locate and access archival materials, and explain what an archivist is and actually does.
