DESCRIPTION:
This artwork is a street view of Shanghai Band in 1935, China. In my work, I combined a car ad on the top of the bus in order to reflect consumerism at that period of time. There’s also a modern lady wearing a nice dress walking across the street, which is a deep contrast with the busy human laborers who earn little money by pulling rickshaws.
