The Madison InfoShop is a free lending library and community activist space located on the East side of Madison and in Rainbow Bookstore. The creators of this project, three Library and Information Studies Students, have created a digital library and oral history repository with open source programs and local funding sources, to tell the InfoShop’s story through digital tools. This collaboration has provided volunteers at the InfoShop a desired online repository of the zines and ephemera that they have created over the past twenty years, and has given Library Studies students the opportunity to use their classroom training as a service to a community organization. The video that we are submitting is a merging of the digital library and the oral history interview we have conducted. This clip tells some of the Madison InfoShop history while panning over zines and ephemera that the InfoShop has created.
