COURSE: ART 448: Coding for Graphic Design
MEDIUM: Data Illustration
This composition was created using Processing, an open-source programming language created by Ben Fry and Casey Reas. I used a series of random functions to create this composition. This piece had around 30 lines of code.
Since this piece was created using random functions, it generated something new each time the code was run. I really enjoyed this composition because it reminded me of the illustrations and color palette used in the children’s book The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle. The composition has a very playful feeling as a result of the colors and the whimsical shapes.
