COURSE: Art 107: Introduction to Digital Forms

DESCRIPTION:
I wanted to incorporate my film shots into one cohesive image while experimenting with Photoshop’s lasso features. I worked to create value within the image by utilizing the lighter parts of images, such as the sky.
ARTIST’S STATEMENT:
I find great pleasure in creating art with a messy, traditional approach using mediums like oil pastels and ink. However, when transitioning to digital platforms, maintaining that messy aesthetic becomes less enjoyable for me. In this project, I challenged myself to embrace a messy digital style, stepping out of my comfort zone while still preserving the essence of traditional techniques. Additionally, I had the chance to not only showcase my film photography but also analyze the value of each composition.
