In August of 2011 I made my annual pilgrimage to Washington, DC. I fell in love with the city after making friends with a group of people from DC who I go to school with in Madison. This year I drove with my friend Jon Rath, who is also friends and bandmates with a few DC natives. It was his first time in the city and he fit right in with the amazing and talented musicians and other creative folks we spent the five days with.
